Shelter Services

The primary objective of We Consult’s Shelter Initiative is to provide safe and dignified housing to families affected by disaster, conflict, and extreme poverty. We believe that a secure home is the foundation of stability, protection, and recovery. Through emergency shelter kits, transitional housing, and permanent home construction, we create safe spaces where families can rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Immediate Protection & Safety

When disaster strikes, families lose not just their homes but their sense of security. Our Emergency Shelter model provides rapid-response kits including weather-resistant tents, blankets, bedding, and essential household items. These shelters are designed to protect families from extreme weather conditions and immediate risks. By ensuring quick access to safe cover, we help prevent further harm and provide stability during the most critical moments of displacement.

Stability During Recovery

For families who require longer-term support, our Transitional Housing model offers semi-permanent structures built with durable, locally sourced materials. These shelters provide greater protection and privacy than temporary tents and are designed to support families for several years while communities rebuild. This approach ensures that displaced households can live with dignity and security during the recovery phase.

Transitional Housing

Long-Term Safe Homes

Our Permanent Social Housing projects focus on constructing durable brick-and-mortar homes for homeless families, widows, and orphans. These houses include access to basic utilities such as clean water and solar lighting, ensuring long-term safety and sustainability. By providing permanent shelter, we create a foundation for families to rebuild their lives, restore dignity, and plan for a more secure future.

Permanent Housing

Improving Living Conditions

Beyond individual homes, we work to improve overall living conditions in refugee camps and vulnerable communities. This includes better drainage systems, improved ventilation, and the creation of safe communal spaces for women and children. Through our community-centered approach, we strengthen resilience, promote safety, and ensure that shelter solutions go beyond structures to truly support human well-being.
