Shelter Services

CRS’s One Room Shelter project provides safe, low-cost housing for vulnerable families, ensuring dignity and security. Through careful planning, beneficiary engagement, and expert oversight, these shelters offer sustainable living solutions while fostering community participation and trust.

Low-Cost Housing Solutions

CRS provides vulnerable families with affordable one-room shelters equipped with toilets. These low-cost units are designed to improve living conditions for those most in need.

Stability During Recovery

For families who require longer-term support, our Transitional Housing model offers semi-permanent structures built with durable, locally sourced materials. These shelters provide greater protection and privacy than temporary tents and are designed to support families for several years while communities rebuild. This approach ensures that displaced households can live with dignity and security during the recovery phase.

Long-Term Safe Homes

Our Permanent Social Housing projects focus on constructing durable brick-and-mortar homes for homeless families, widows, and orphans. These houses include access to basic utilities such as clean water and solar lighting, ensuring long-term safety and sustainability. By providing permanent shelter, we create a foundation for families to rebuild their lives, restore dignity, and plan for a more secure future.

Professional Construction Oversight

CRS project engineers and field staff oversee the construction process, visiting plots and ensuring that houses are built according to approved designs, specifications, and BoQ standards.
